Opis
Izvleček:The present research project was carried out in order to model the behavior of dissolved oxygen and the biochemical oxygen demand in the segregated Macache estuary in four monitoring sections. In order to carry out this research, four specific objectives were achieved: Hydromorphological characteristics in each of the modeling units, the estimation of the chemical physical parameters required for the modeling of the water quality, and the modeling of the quality of the Macache estuary using the Streeter and Phepls equations, in addition to the La Water quality by using QUAL2K software. To obtain data in the field, a sampling period of four months (October, November, December, January and February). With the field data obtained from OD and BOD and the variables of the hydromorphological characteristics both in the dry season and the rainy season, the calibration of the Streeter -Phelps model was performed for this calibration. The methodology used was the use of the software Statistical statgraphics with Monte Carlo simulations, and the manual and automatic method, through the Generalized Likelihood Uncertainty Estimation (GLUE); According to the results obtained, this calibration resulted in a good adjustment because the values obtained with the coefficient of performance and the Nash index were close to one. The results of the hydromorphological characteristics of the flow had a variation of 849.92 l / s (section 3) and 931.08 l / s (freshwater) in the months of January and February because these months were the ones with the highest precipitation. With respect to the dissolved oxygen levels, the highest concentrations occur in the rainy season corresponding to the month of January and February with levels of 5 to 6 mg/l, unlike the months of October November and December (dry season) with Lower concentrations ranging from 1 to 5 mg/l. The highest concentrations of BOD5 occur in the "Guayacan" discharge with an average of over 44 mg /l in the dry season, with the exception of the rainy season with concentrations below 10 mg /l. On the other hand, the simulation with the software QUAL2K did not obtain a good adjustment, due to the absence of data of parameters that required by the software, in addition was realized the analysis of performance of the model of Streeter and Phelps to adjust the values of OD And BOD taken in the field, according to the calculated coefficient of determination and Nash-Sutcliffe index values indicate that the majority of them present an optimum adjustment.
