Summary:This project is based on designing a fiber optic network to the homes of the inhabitants in the Loma Grande urbanization of Cantón Ventanas, with the purpose of providing a virtual prototype of the complete structure of a fiber optic network. In the current context of the digital age, the availability of a high-speed internet connection has become a fundamental need, both globally and in expanding urban communities. In Latin America, the urgency to improve telecommunications infrastructure becomes even more evident. Many developing areas face similar challenges that restrict their technological advancement and access to digital inclusion. It consisted of carrying out the design of a fiber optic network based on GPON technology as it is the appropriate one that adjusts to the positive characteristics of the stability and speed of the internet in homes. Through the use of TomoData and AutoCad software it was possible to create the structure of the network simulation. Through the composition of each necessary element in the network infrastructure, satisfactory results were obtained, which are demonstrated later in chapter IV of this research project.
