Análisis de la transformación mecánica y comercialización de madera en el Cantón Quevedo, Provincia Los Ríos, año 2018.

The present investigation was carried out in the Quevedo canton located in the province of Los Ríos, it is located in the coastal region of the country. The general objective of the research was to analyze the consumption of wood in the primary and secondary wood processing establishments of the canton, which included georeferencing the primary and secondary wood processing facilities of the Quevedo canton; carry out an inventory of sawmills, joinery, wooden warehouses, car bodies and wood sale sites; describe the activities and processes that take place in the wood processing centers. . In the methodology, the methods were applied: documentary, field, deductive and work in the office. The documentary method was researched in digital bibliography, theses, books and scientific articles, in order to gather the necessary information and interest about the topics. The field method consisted in the collection of information through direct sources in the place of study, this was achieved through interviews with owners or managers in charge of the different types of establishments. The deductive method is applied as a reasoning strategy used mainly to deduce logical conclusions from a series of premises or principles, and thus be able to perform the interpretation of information through surveys. In the research, 20 establishments were obtained in the canton, which contributed with the completion of the survey, where it was found in a greater number of cabinetry. In addition, the different places did not have a record of wood volume. The volume of wood commercialized for purchase and sale of the establishments was 215.85 m3 of purchase and 135.77 m3 of sale, and the establishments that commercialize more wood are the deposits and sawmills.
