| Resumo: | Inadequate application of insecticides reduces efficiency, generating residues that are hazardous to the environment and the resistance of insect pests. The objective of the research was to evaluate the efficiency of the insecticides in the control of the fall armyworm in the corn crop. Where different insecticides were used (Davantor, Fastac Duo, Imunit, Match + Metomyl, Curyon. Affirm, Fasta Duo + Dash MSO Max, Solaris, Pirate, Premio, Voltaje + Metomyl, Control (Conventional) and Ampligo) at 16 and 36 days, in order to evaluate the phytotoxicity, the number of insects, morphological parameters and incidence of damage to the ears, through a completely randomized block design with three repetitions. Data were analyzed using the Infostat statistical program. Among the results, it was possible to observe that the insecticide DAVANTOR reduces the incidence and promotes an efficiency of 57% (first application) and 31% (second application) and also induces to protect the ears, with a longer effect (18.54 cm), diameter (16.28 cm), ear weight (334.92 g) and yields of 103.83 kg.ha, while the control treatment presented lower values in the variables of length (12.75 cm), diameter (12.04 cm), cob (143.38 g). In this way, it is concluded that the proper use of the insecticide not only protects and reduces the incidence of the fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) but also indirectly helps to obtain better performance. |
