סיכום:This research is entitled "dyscalculia and their impact on student learning at the School of Basic Education" Abdon Calderon Munoz "Parroquia San Camilo, Quevedo Canton, school year 2014-2015". The main development objective of this thesis project is to evaluate the incidence of dyscalculia in student learning as well is improving academic performance is not alone in this matter, but in others and in life itself, because mathematics has maintained and maintains a strong position in school education worldwide for its special contribution to the formation of the student, from different levels: instrumental, intellectual, communicative, cultural, entertainment, recreational and historical. This research is qualitative and quantitative in nature, because, on the basis of a thorough scholar to solve the difficulties raised, it can account for the kind of education given in the institution with respect to the educational process and its development social as well as the number of teachers and students who do their best to meet and overcome this problem. The project will build on descriptive research, through the data obtained in surveys of teachers, students and parents, as well as the interview with the director; also explanatory research, where it will be a cause - effect of methodological work of teachers, planning and resources used and how they directly affect students, to thereby find the most appropriate method for learning. In this investigation, a teacher training program will be developed to guide the use of playful approach in the area of mathematics, the same that will be used by teachers and students to improve their development in this area of study for the implementation of this work is budgeted a value of $ 1000.
