| Sažetak: | The exploitation of coffee, cocoa, banana and maize residues through the production of biodegradable packaging is the objective of this research project, which is related to the agro-industrial sector, Therefore, the aim is to promote the creation of new exploitation alternatives that have a positive impact on the production matrix. A study was carried out to take advantage of the waste and provide the opportunity to create employment through the production of a biodegradable product; research was carried out on the number of producers, the number of hectares harvested and sown, variety of products and percentage of use of residues that occurs in the agro-industrial sector and in the same way in agricultural associations that have a certain number of partners according to each product of study, coffee varieties such as Arabica and robusta, cocoa the above national variety and CCN-51, banana the barraganete, cavendish, Dominican, gros michel, corn the emblematic variety, advanta, gladiator, triumph, Somma, tropi, being important information to be able to estimate the amount of residues that are presented in different sectors of the country. The survey carried out on agricultural producers in Quevedo and areas of influence determined that there are residues that occur in the harvest and post-harvest stages, as in the case of coffee, pulp and mucilage, cocoa, cob, banana, leaves and stem, while from corn the stem, leaf and tusa, therefore the amount of coffee residues that are generated in the year is from 1 to 5 quintals, from cocoa, banana and corn from 16 to 30 quintals a year equivalent to 60% of the respondents, In the same way, 16 to 30 quintals of waste correspond to 30%, showing that the number of producers that apply some activity of exploitation is 20%, which is related to a lack of knowledge and training. For the design of the process, a market study was carried out in the city of Quevedo and areas of influence, so it was possible to obtain information on the products that have a higher level of marketing, highlighting the vessels that have a weekly demand of 262.900 units, plates with 242.085 and spoons with 105.160, and according to the art study the appropriate process for the formula of biodegradable containers was established, considering the distribution of plant according to the required areas, necessary machinery and number of operators for each activity to be carried out during the process.
