Etiketa erantsi | Gaia: | The city of Quevedo has a wide variety of cultural and natural tourist attractions that are not being properly promoted, generating ignorance in tourists and the general population. The objective of this research work is to apply a tourist guide embodied in a computer tool. specifically in a mobile application to promote the tourist attractions of the canton. The mobile application for Android Smartphone "Conoce Quevedo" using the official software development kit (SDK) of the Android platform (Android Studio), integrating updated photographic material, geolocating the places in the application and integrating real, relevant and timely information about the most important tourist attractions the Quevedo canton. For greater comfort and safety of users, the application was hosted in the Google Play store, for free acces and use. The viability and acceptance of the computer tool was determined and analyzed by applying a survey to the Quevedo community, giving positive results regarding its use, with 61% demonstrating that the projects aimed at the development of the city are welcomed in a good way by the community.
