| Summary: | The present investigation aimed to determine the influence of three types of substrates and a phytohormone in the rooting of babaco (Vasconcellea heilbornii). The hormone AIB was used in doses of 3,000 ppm and 0 ppm, and black soil substrates moor humus and Pomino or gravel in an amount of 2 kg per bag. The research work was conducted in the province of Tungurahua, Patate Canton, parish Los Andes, Chico Tontapí farmhouse on the estate of Mr. Carlos Andrade. The investigation of rooting of babaco was performed in a chamber with an artificial temperature from 18 to 30 º C with relative humidity 60 to 70% and brightness 7 hours a day. The experimental design was D.B.C.A. factorial arrangement of 2 x 3 and 5 repetitions, data collection was performed at 90 days of the investigation, which was performed statistical analysis using Statistical Analysis System (SAS). ANOVA procedure was used for the analysis of variance. Tukey test (0.05) to compare means. We conducted an economic analysis of costs of implementing each treatment to 1,000 babaco stakes. From the results it provides the best treatment for rooting cuttings is babaco T2 (3,000 ppm AIB + Humus) and also the higher cost of implementation, and T6 treatment (0 ppm AIB + Pomino) is the one that had the lowest cost. To root cuttings babaco (Vasconcellea heilbornii), apply 3,000 ppm AIB + Humus. |
