Diagnóstico de la producción, comercialización y rentabilidad de alcohol etílico de caña de azúcar (Saccharum officinarum L.) en el cantón Pangua

This research was conducted in the province of Cotopaxi , in the canton Pangua , geography location is North: 00 ° 54'18 " S , 78 ° 24'38 " . The field research lasted 90 days. The overall goal was to make the diagnosis of the production, marketing and profitability of ethanol from sugar cane ( Saccharum officinarum L ) in the canton Pangua , 2013 , was known opinions through surveys and observation techniques to producers cane which in total is 1,284 and , using simple random stratified method yielded a sample size of 305 . The results are: In terms of operating systems that cane growers have 15% of the producers have a traditional operating system which ( it takes only 94 % and 6 % associated with third parties) , while that 77.5 % have a semi technified operating system of which ( 60 % non- associated and 40% linked to third ), while the remaining 7.5% has a modernized operating system of which (67 % is no third party and 33 % associated with third parties ) . In the production data of sugar cane 80% of the sugarcane growers are producing 4001-5000 L. year. It shows who sold the derivatives of sugarcane : stating that 94 % of producers sell their products through intermediaries . Ethanol producers have mills built to study the effect , according to the number of liters produced . Infrastructure is cement with zinc roofs . Investments in infrastructure, machinery , equipment and tools used amounted to $ 9,600 on average. The unit cost of ethanol production is on average $ 0.83 per gallon of ethanol . When analyzing the profitability of each ethanol producers can see that on average gets an internal rate of return (IRR ) of 19.95 %.
