Descripció
Sumari:This research was carried out at the La María experimental campus of the UTEQ, under tropical rainforest conditions at 71 masl, with the objective of determining the effect of the use of fungicides, bactericides and a biostimulant for the control of wilt (Ralstonia solanacearum) in the ginger (Zingiber officinale) crop. Four treatments plus a control were evaluated, arranged in a Randomized Complete Design (RCD) with five replications. Among the variables evaluated were disease incidence, level of rhizome affectation and the benefit-cost ratio of the treatments. In the present study, T1 (Chitosan oligosaccharide) stood out with the lowest percentages of affectation and the highest percentages of health, presenting averages of 10.45 % and 89.55 %. Regarding the incidence of the treatments on productivity, T1 (Chitosan oligosaccharide) also showed the highest rhizome weight per plant and the lowest area of rhizome affected with 271.80 g and 11.39 %. Also the best benefit-cost ratio was for the mentioned treatment T1 (Chitosan oligosaccharide) of $ 2.16, differentiating it from other treatments.
