Achoimre:This research project conducted the analysis of the influence of air density and atmospheric pressure on fuel consumption in light vehicles from experimental extra-urban low gradient routes in Ecuador. Prior to the execution of the experimental tests, the necessary equipment for the acquisition of these devices was thoroughly investigated and later on, experience with this equipment was acquired and practiced. This project was carried out with 10 real time tests in different environmental conditions on the Santo Domingo - Quevedo route aboard a 2010 Kia Sportage Active 2.0 vehicle plus a companion who supervised the operation of the equipment. We used for the experimentation appropriate equipment such as the Skywatch Geos 11 which is a portable weather station that indicates very important data such as height above sea level, ambient temperature, humidity percentage in the environment, also used the Canedge:1 which records data from the behavior of the vehicle through an OBD2 input on a micro sd and a Canmod.gps which is a GPS that connects in series with the Canedge:1. The data of the 10 tests performed in the Santo Domingo - Quevedo route were obtained, then we proceeded to make an Excel file adding all the acquired data to calculate by formulas all the resistances that affected the moment the vehicle started until it stopped, and finally the respective analysis was performed because it was possible to obtain the graphs of all the processed data from the Excel file.
