| Izvleček: | This research was conducted at the Experimental Farm "Dam" State Technical University of Quevedo, located on the premises Faita, 7.5 km from the via Quevedo, San Carlos, Province of Los Rios - Ecuador. The investigation lasted six months (January-June 2014). The objective was to evaluate the productive, health and quality of 64 elite clones of cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) in association with guabo (Inga sp) in Quevedo behavior during the rainy season 2014. Evaluating 64 cocoa clones elites. The variables evaluated were: Intensity of budding, flowering, fruiting, Cherelles Wilt, number of healthy pods, fresh weight, yield kg / ha, seed index, ear length and width, thickness of husk furrow level and shoulder index cob, number of diseased pods and broom. As a result it was found that the greater intensity of flowering is recorded in the months of February, March, April, May and June, while fruiting and Cherelles Wilt was recorded in June. The UICYT-C-007 clone indicated the highest number of healthy pods per plant with 14.25. The UICYT-C-068, clone reached the highest fresh weight (2475 g) and a yield (kg/ha-1a-1) 1099.89 kg. In the seed index UICYT-C-053 clone with 2.3g he highlighted. The UICYT-C-014 clone showed the highest cob with dimensions of 24.25 cm long and 10.35 m wide .The clone UICYT-C-040 showed the highest average shell thickness at the level of groove and shoulder to 1.8 and 2.6 cm respectively, clone UICYT-C-014 said lower pod index of 13.25. The smaller number of diseased ears was presented by the monilia clones UICYT-C-002, UICYT-C-031, UICYT-C-032, UICYT-C-037, UICYT-C-038, UICYT-C-041, UICYT-C-042, UICYT-C-044, UICYT-C-046, UICYT-C-054, UICYT-C-055 and UICYT-C-064, with averages ranging between 0.75 and 1.75 and clone diseased pods with less infection broom was the UICYT-C-023 with 0.25 brooms. It is recommended to socialize these results to break the paradigm that cocoa National type is susceptible to brown rot and witches' broom. Key words: Cocoa, elite clones, cocoa and guabo, characterization. |
