Sumario:The present research project was carried out in three study sites, Canbiosca located in the Canton Buena Fe, with an area of 160 ha, Rafaelita located in the Canton Ventanas, with an area of 20 ha and the Chorrera located in the canton of Valencia, with an area of 5 ha. The research objectives were to identify and determine the diversity of escolítidos associated with teak plantations. 36 Flight intercept traps were installed at a height of 1,30 m at ground level. As attractant was placed in each trap 175 ml of alcohol (96 degrees) and 75 ml of distilled water, the collection of specimens was performed every 8 days during the months of July and August. A total of 3.784 escolítidos were collected, corresponding to 1.688 individuals in Rafaelita, followed by Canbiosca with 1.265 individuals and 831 individuals in the Chorrera. The total number of individuals is grouped into 10 species, with the most abundant Hypothenemus sp, Xyleborus affinis, Premmobius Cavipennis and Xyleborus ferrugineus. In Canbiosca, the index of Shannon and Simpson was 0,7328 and 0,3193, respectively, in Rafaelita was 0,403 and 0,1825, while in the Chorrera was 1,197 and 0,6295, indicating that there is diversity in all three sites. In the richness of species, the site that showed greater richness was Canbiosca with a value of 1,12, followed by the Chorrera with 1,041 and finally Rafaelita with 0,6728. The index of Jaccard indicates that the site Rafaelita and Chorrera There is a high similarity of 0,75, followed between the site Canbiosca and the Chorrera with 0,7 and the least similarity present is the site Canbiosca and Rafaelita with a 0,67.
