Περίληψη:The use of biostimulant products are constantly required in current agricultural practice to reduce, strengthen and guarantee a good performance in the nursery stage, which is one of the main activities that is sought in the fruit growing area to obtain quality seedlings at the time to carry out the transplant to the final land. Based on the above, the present investigation aimed to evaluate the effect of the application of biostimulants on the germination and vigor of papaya (Carica papaya L.) seedlings in the Quevedo area. The present investigation was carried out at the “Macías” farm in the El Carmen area of Buena Fe canton. A completely randomized design with four treatments in four creeps was used. The treatments studied were: T1: Synergise (1 l ha-1), T2: Biotek (2 l ha-1), T3: soluble blue Complefol (2 kg ha-1) and T4: Control (No application). The results obtained indicated that with Synergise (1 l ha-1) a higher percentage of germinated seeds (88.50%) was obtained, significantly exceeding the control that barely produced 59.00% of germinated seeds. Synergise (1 l ha-1) promoted the growth of seedlings, in such a way that, when applying this product, taller plants were obtained at 20 (4.60 cm), 30 (7.93 cm), 40 (12.15 cm) and 50 days (23.78 cm). The stem thickening of papaya seedlings was enhanced by applying Synergise (1 l ha-1), showing plants with a larger diameter stem in the four evaluations carried out, with averages of 1.23, 2.65, 3.31 and 5.97 cm, at 20, 30, 40 and 50 days old of the seedlings, respectively. With the application of Synergise (1 l ha-1) a greater root development was observed, promoting root growth (27.10 cm in length) and their weight (25.25 g).
