| Резюме: | The ear rot or cocoa black pod is caused by Phytophthora sp pseudofungi. Worldwide is one of the most aggressive disease of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) and can cause losses between 30 and up to 80% of global production. In Ecuador, until recently it has not been considered as an economically important disease compared with Witches' Broom (Moniliophthora pernicious) or Monilia (Moniliophthora roreri), which can cause a loss of 40 to 60%, but sometimes the loss may be total, while Phytophthora presence is rather casual and does not reach the severity of the disease in question, being the most important factor for development of rain with temperatures of 18-20 °C. Apparently it has only the species P. palmivora. By evaluating resistance in cultivars Amazon and Nationals, found good resistance levels, regardless of their genetic characteristics. It highlights the ARBOL-5 and the Amazon AMAZ-2 G8 and AMAZ-2 G10, who occupied the places along with SCA 6 and SCA 12 resistant a which is, materials SCA 6 and SCA 12 were resistant, while the treatment 8 and 24 were moderately resistant and susceptible as the CCN 51. |
