Samenvatting: | Acute pancreatitis is an acute inflammation of the pancreas and surrounding tissue. During pregnancy, this condition is rare, but may occur as a cause of abdominal pain. The present study aimed to implement an individualized nursing care plan for the timely management of acute pancreatitis in pregnant women, through a comprehensive review of available clinical data, ensuring comprehensive care. Through the medical records, a 16-year-old female patient was recognized, who was referred from another institution with a picture of acute pancreatitis, presenting severe abdominal pain. The diagnostic tests that were applied included ultrasound, radiography, physical examination, laboratory, Score Mama, among others. Considering the clinical picture of the patient, multiple nursing interventions were implemented that involved pain control through the administration of analgesics, the adoption of non-pharmacological measures for pain relief, and relaxation techniques and deep breathing to help control pain. In addition, other actions to prevent the risk of infection, stimulate diuresis, prevent deterioration of the respiratory pattern, and minimize the risk of maternal-fetal complications. The results demonstrated the reduction of pain, absence of signs of infection in the surgical site or in the bladder catheter, increased urine production, a respiratory rate in a normal range, the possession of a newborn in good health. and the absence of serious postoperative complications. It is concluded that the lessons learned highlight the need for evidence-based nursing care, centered on the patient and oriented towards optimal results in medical care. |
