| Streszczenie: | The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects caused in the agricultural sector by climate change in the Quevedo canton, Los Ríos Province. For this, a question form was carried out where a reliability level of 0.726% of Cronbach's Alpha was acquired, where the perception that farmers have was known, to determine threats, exposure and vulnerability. On the other hand, a proposal for climate change adaptation and mitigation measures was designed. Regarding the results achieved, 76% of the participants indicated that human activities contribute to climate change, in addition, 80.9% stated that they have noticed greater resistance from existing pests and that the appearance of new pests is much more complicated and difficult to detect. combat, On the other hand, a large part of the farmers agreed that intense rains and changes in temperatures cause damage to crops. Therefore, three levels of threat were evaluated, such as: drought, precipitation and high temperatures, this with the help of the SSP3 climate scenario, where it was identified that the level of threat in the Quevedo canton is low, while the climatic exposure varies depending on the location of the exposed areas. For the periods 2040-2060 and 2080-2100 in the future projection, it was observed that the temperature had a value of 31ºC, considered as a high level, which would affect the yield of the crops that are harvested. Therefore, in view of this situation, the action plan determined feasible strategies to reduce the vulnerability of farmers and increase resilience in crops. Keywords: climate variability, SSP3, climate scenario, threats. |
