Zusammenfassung:Microcredit is a critical and indispensable tool for combating poverty, aimed at overcoming the problems associated with unmet human needs. Ecuador instability has worsened poverty levels and led to social exclusion. Both form a vicious cycle that is hard to get out: poverty increases and thus exclusion other consequences that often lead to poverty. The objective of this research is to analyze the impact of microcredit on the economy of families linked with the foundation Espoir in the period from 2008 to 2011. The Espoir genesis dates back to the first three years of 1992 making several small projects in tourism, arts promotion and protection of the environment. According to the field investigation, we find that for 93.81% of customers Espoir, its microcredit are essential for the economy of the canton Quevedo. The 96.65% of the clients of the foundation, agreed to admit that if microcredit have favored the growth of microenterprises. We also determined that for 98.45% of respondents microloans have allowed improving the welfare of his family. The 51.03% of customers stated that the amounts of their claims range from USD 501 to USD 1000. The money received was allocated to the marketing of food and fruits mostly. Espoir in 2010 gave 11,739 microloans, followed by 12,678 in 2011 and 13,312 in 2012, representing an amount in the last year of USD 4,820,461.96 to 1,755,876.94 USD rural and in urban areas.
