الملخص:Public policies are the mechanism that governments use to guide a society and its production relations towards progress and development. The main objective of this study is to analyze the impact of public policies carried out by the Provincial Government of Los Ríos, Northern Zone, to implement organic farming techniques. The methodology used was defined under the types of participatory and descriptive action research. The methods were documentary, inductive-deductive, analytical and statistical. 123 small farmers were surveyed and the results reflected progress in the promotion of organic farming, although significant challenges persist in the coverage, perception and effectiveness of the implemented policies. Among the most important conclusions, it can be highlighted that the Provincial Government of Los Ríos, Northern Zone, has promoted public policies oriented towards organic farming, focused on environmental conservation, the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices and technical support for farmers. These policies have demonstrated a focus on environmental and productive sustainability, although their implementation has been heterogeneous, leaving certain areas and sectors with limited coverage, which highlights the need for greater articulation between the proposed strategies and their territorial execution.
