Análisis del costo de producción de la caja de banano y su incidencia en a rentabilidad de la Hacienda Bananera María María, en el cantón Valencia, Provincia de Los Ríos, año 2013.

This research was conducted at the Hacienda Maria Maria, New Union enclosure Region Valencia, Los Rios Province, The research period lasted 180 days. The population of the banana plantation Maria Maria, corresponded to the manager and two field managers, one office, 2 accountant secretaries, the main objective was to determine the production cost of a box of bananas and their impact on the profitability of the farm. Scientific, analytical, deductive and inductive methods used; in addition to primary and secondary sources. The work was established by flowchart, this work is the most delicate and that greater care should be offered. Packaging is the final step where it is used or is thrown away all the effort to cultivate a plant and take advantage of a cluster in eleven months of hard work. The highest percentage of rejected fruit is caused by low quality defects produced in the packaging. Direct production costs with 57,65% considered within this category the costs for supplies and materials, in addition to direct labor; Indirect costs correspond to 42.35% and within these include payment of administrative, transportation, food and fuel, among others. The profitability of banana production in the Hacienda Banana "Maria Maria" is high so that it is ensured that banana production produces large economic returns for the sector.
