EFECTO DE LA APLICACIÓN DE ALGAS MARINA (Ascophyllum nodosum) EN LA PRIMERA ETAPA DE DESARROLLO VEGETAL DEL CULTIVO DE PIMIENTO PICANTE CAROLINA REAPER (Capsicum chinense)

The objective of this research is to evaluate the effect of the application of algae (A. nodosum) in the first stage of plant development of the Carolina Reaper hot pepper crop (C. chinense), with concentrations of 0, 100, 75, 50 and 25% of the algae A. nodosum in an experiment where a DCA was used...

Crynodeb:The objective of this research is to evaluate the effect of the application of algae (A. nodosum) in the first stage of plant development of the Carolina Reaper hot pepper crop (C. chinense), with concentrations of 0, 100, 75, 50 and 25% of the algae A. nodosum in an experiment where a DCA was used with 5 treatments, 4 repetitions, in the experiment it was evident that the different concentrations of the algae were not higher than the control to which only distilled water was supplied in the variables: emergence percentage, plant height, leaf length and width, fresh and dry biomass, unlike root length where it was observed that the plants using 25% of the biofertilizer obtained acceptable results, the effect of the biofertilizer was studied in the height of the plant at 30 and 60 days, where it was observed that in the first 30 days the concentrations of biofertilizers were lower with 9.03 cm than the applications with distilled water which showed plants with heights of 9.39 cm, at 60 days a change was shown, resulting in that the different concentrations were higher than the control with plants with heights greater than 22 cm, concluding that in the initial stage the algae A. nodosum promotes slow growth, but in the second stage of development of the cultivation promotes growth effectively using high doses of the biofertilizer.
