Shrnutí:The area of Language and Literature is essential to develop the linguistic skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) of the students, with the purpose of turning them into competent people of the oral and written culture who are able to function in society, therefore The purpose of this educational development project is to evaluate the strategies based on games and their incidence in the teaching-learning process of Language and Literature of the students of the elementary sublevel of the “Capitán Edmundo Chiriboga” Basic Education School. The applied methodology has a qualitative - quantitative approach and the types of research are bibliographic, applied and descriptive, while descriptive, deductive, inductive, analytical - synthetic and statistical methods were used, which allowed meeting the specific objectives set. In addition, the information gathering techniques are interviews with semi-structured questions and a survey with the Likert model applied through Google Forms. The main results establish that the didactic strategies implemented by teachers involve pictograms, phoneme and grapheme cards, stories and poems, but 57% of legal representatives state that infants also have difficulty in learning, which is why it was designed the proposal of a training plan on Game Based Learning (GLA) to continue innovating the pedagogical practice of teachers and provide them with pedagogical support to strengthen the development of skills in certain activities such as reading comprehension, story creation and correspondence phoneme – grapheme
