Etiketle | Özet: | This research descriptive, was conducted in order to determine the incidence of phlebitis in patients hospitalized in the Clinic "Medical Center Cuba", Santo Domingo 2014. During research methods and research techniques were used to They allowed to approach the study of the educational needs from the perspective of integrative research. Being finite universe all the nurse was seen as shown. This research is based on the existing problems such as the high incidence of phlebitis in patients hospitalized at the Clinic Medical Center Cuba, Santo Domingo, which can be expressed is that the techniques used by the staff is not the best especially when channeling technique peripherally, as a result of this are the signs and symptoms of phlebitis, plus the presence of risk factors is observed because of this additional applies the lack of knowledge in nursing staff joins in respect to patient care when phlebitis occurs. The results were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively and endorsed there is a direct relationship between local trauma to the vein and the presence of phlebitis as 100% of hospitalized patients, 38.2% of patients had phlebitis after the nurse performed the appropriate channeling technique, also 19% of nursing staff has insufficient knowledge about phlebitis and ways to prevent it, so that 100% of nurses require training on preventing phlebitis and thus ensure that the execution of the training plan for staff of nursing help to reduce the incidence of phlebitis in patients hospitalized in the Clinic "Cuba Medical Center" of Santo Domingo.
