The present investigation concerning the feasibility study for the establishment of a processing plant for cocoa butter in the canton Good - Faith, Cologne May 24, was conducted during 2012-2013, information was obtained through surveys to members of the corporation cocoa Fertile Earth, to interview experts made the cocoa industry as TULICORP and Salinerito, and state entities as MAGAP (Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries), MIPRO (Ministry of Industry and Productivity ), Ecuadorian Agency for Quality Assurance Agro, FEDEXPOR (Ecuadorian Federation of Exporters), SENAE (National Customs Service of Ecuador), Central Bank of Ecuador and the NICE (National Institute of Statistics and Census), making it characterized the following analyzes. A situational analysis which studies the factors of supply and demand, unmet demand, legal and economic conditions, and the opportunities and threats in the environment, in addition to the strengths and weaknesses of the company. A technical study which defines the macro and micro localization requirements, machinery, raw materials, labor, civil infrastructure, project size. Organic structure is made, functional and business legal, human resources are organized, which included the requirements of the technical study will have the company to achieve the objectives of this research project For operation requires a total investment of USD 957,418.34, of which 70% will be financed with bank loan, payable five years at an interest rate of 11.83% and 30% will be equity partners in the Fertile Earth Corporation cocoa. The overall project from economically viable and attractive, so it is recommended the commissioning of the processing plant cocoa butter. The analysis and financial evaluation determines that the project is viable, reflecting a positive NPV equivalent to USD 636,840.72, the IRR with a percentage of 34%, higher than the market interest rate, a benefit cost ratio (B / C) of USD 1.41 which indicates that for every dollar invested will have a gain of $ 0.41, with a profit margin on sales of 17%, and a payback period of capital is 2 years 11 months and 8 days.
