সংক্ষিপ্ত:The carried out investigation work, titled "Treatment of Palenque city served waters, county The Ríos and their influence in the town environmental quality. Year 2012. Proposal of treatment system", outlined as specific objectives the characterization of the current treatment system, the determination of the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the treatment plant effluent; also the determination of the environmental quality of the town, associated to the sewage handling and; as solution to the problem, the proposal of modification of the treatment system. The used methodology understood the chemical analysis of liquid samples, the interview to determine the civic perception on the treatment plant and about the town environmental quality, that was determined by direct observation in situ, the seating capacity of the tributary to quantify the flow that manages the plant and; the bibliographical investigation to select the most appropriate system in the modification of the treatment plant. The efficiencies of the plant in the removal of pollutants were relatively low, being determined that the water of the river goes out of the impact point with the treatment effluent, with an inferior quality to which had before the impact. The main conclusions to those that you summary arrived in that the treatment system counts two lagoons of 7 882 m2 (148 m x 54 m) of surface, with little depth and a natural hollow of deposit of effluents of 18 000 m2 (300 m x 60 m), with a depth of 12 m; that the treatment plant effluent possesses physical, chemical and biological characteristics that, except for the pH, they don't belong together with those of the waters of the river, which are much less polluted when arriving to the impact point and; the town environmental quality, associated to the handling of the sewage, is about "to regulate" to "bad", according to the civic perception of a sample specially selected as for its academic level, as well as with base in the result of the evaluation of environmental impact matrix. The processes were designed for the modification of the treatment plant that has a sand eliminator and a trickling filter filled with plastic media and their corresponding secondary settler, as well as a drying proposal and commercialization of the secondary sludge as organic fertilizer.
