| 要約: | The present work was developed with the objective of providing cocoa sector of referential investment amounts to achieve a clonal variety genetically improved of cocoa of high productivity based on a case study. The type of research we used in this case is of nature descriptive and exploratory, using an analytical method. The sources of information used were meetings with researchers and former researchers of the National Program of Cocoa, with experience and knowledge of the various stages of the process of genetic improvement of cacao. Technical reports and publications of the Program also represented valuable sources of information. With the information obtained a database for analysis and processing based on the spreadsheet Excel was build. The process to get a genetically improvement variety of cocoa, the study was divided into five stages: 1. Selection and crossbreeding of parental genetic value and planting of hybrid plants in the field, 2. Establishment, evaluation of segregating progenies and selection of hybrid plants, 3. Cloning of plants selected for the establishment and evaluation of interclonales tests 4. Selection of clones with increased productivity and establishment of semi-commercial plots at multi-local level 5. Establishment of clonal gardens for the propagation of plant material for sowing, final report, registration in the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property (IEPI) and related technical publications. The total amount of investment to complete the process is USD$ 3.551.096. Each stage requires the following amounts: USD$ 1.836.744, USD$ 1.005.952, USD$ 262.883, USD$ 318.973 and USD$ 126.544, respectively. The estimated amounts for each stage was held in the following cost structure: Personnel, Services and Supplies, Equipment, Diffusion, Land and Infrastructure. The first stage demands more investment and the category of costs, which supports the greater weight of the investment, is Personnel, which represents 54,13% of expenditures |
