總結:Coptoborus ochromactonus is a pest that causes damages in the balsa plantations, it is necessary to know what are the factors that affect the rise of flight of this insect and the diversity of scolitids that can be found. The main objective was to evaluate the population fluctuation of C. ochromactonus in the locality of Vergel and Empalme, making the catches with interception traps of flight at heights of 14 meters in ages of 1, 2, 3 years respectively. The abundance in the catch was different in the zones evaluated, there being a significant difference (p: 0.0123), in the humid zone few captures were made, in which the maximum peak of flight was not shown, but the population increase in the last months evaluated (April, May and June). In the dry zone there were catches during the whole period, in ages of 2 and 3 years, starting the flight rise from February and continuing until May, having its maximum peak in March. At ages of 1 year there were no catches. The relationship between the abundance of C. Ochomactonus and the climatic conditions in the humid zone had a low positive relation with the minimum temperature (r: 0.13), moderate with relative humidity (r: 0.41) and inverse relationship between the average temperature (r: -0.52), maximum (r: -0.68) and precipitation (r: -0.22). In the dry zone it had a very positive positive relationship with precipitation (r: 0.71), low with minimum temperature (r: 0.25), moderate with medium temperature (0.28) and inverse relationship between maximum temperature (r: -0.25), and the relative humidity (r: -0.40). The diversity of scolytids in raft plantations of the humid zone managed to capture a total of 17 species and 9 genera of 4 different tribes achieving the greatest abundance of genus and species at the age of 3 years.
