| Riassunto: | The chemical composition of agricultural residues of pigeon peel, palm mud, passion fruit peel and banana peel was studied. The treatments were T1: pigeon peas shell; T2: palm mud; T3: passion fruit peel and T4: banana peel. A Completely Random Design was applied with five repetitions, the mean differences were grouped by Tukey at 5 % probability. The variables dry matter (DM), inorganic matter (MI), crude protein (CP), crude fat (GB), neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (FDA) were evaluated. The MS content of T1 (77.03 %) was higher (P <0.05) than T2 (29.11 %), T3 (20.80 %) and T4 (19.21 %). In the inorganic matter parameter, palm mud T2 (13.93 %) presents a difference (P <0.05) with pigeon peel T1, passion fruit peel T3 and banana peel T4 (4.0 - 5, 56 and 8.73 % respectively). The crude protein content the highest percentages were for Pigeon bean shell T1 (13.96%) and palm mud T2 (13.91 %) that presented differences (P <0.05) with passion fruit shell T3 (7.13 %) and T4 banana peel (1.62 %). The crude fat content in Pigeon peas T1 (2.57 %) reported lower values (P <0.05) with T2, T3 and T4 (10.17, 9.06 and 9.57% respectively). The percentages of neutral detergent fiber indicate that the lowest value of NDF was for the treatments T2 palm mud (52.78 %) and T4 banana peel (47.80 %) presenting differences (P <0.05) with T1 Pigeon peas (63.38%) and passion fruit peel T3 (57.26 %). The acid detergent fiber fractions (FDA) indicate the lowest FDA content in the T3 (32.94 %) passion fruit peel and T4 the banana peel (29.40 %) showing differences (P <0.05) with the T1 pigeon peel (37.16 %) and T2 (35.66 %). In general, the raw materials that are the object of this study contribute information on how each residue is chemically composed to be used in food tables and as alternative non-conventional resources of low commercial value and not very competitive in ruminant feeding.
