Description
Summary:The fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) is a recurring threat to maize (Zea mays) cultivation, causing considerable economic losses. Diatomaceous earth (DE) is considered an organic insecticide derived from marine algae, distinguished for being biodegradable, leaving no toxic residues, nor causing resistance in insects. To evaluate the use of diatomaceous earth in controlling the fall armyworm in maize cultivation, a study was conducted at the Campus Experimental “La María” of the Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo.
