The company PLANTABAL S.A. in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas has a significant amount of machinery and production equipment in its industrial plant. These will always be used in the processing of balsa wood, the same that not having a maintenance plan according to their criticality, functional failures occur frequently that delay production, generating losses of money that lead to other planning for the weekends. In the present research a maintenance plan was developed for its different production lines in which it is indispensable to maintain in good condition and working all the machines and production equipment that the plant has, since they are necessary working tools for the fulfillment of the obligations acquired by the company. The current situation of the maintenance tasks and activities carried out at PLANTABAL S.A. was diagnosed, as well as the technical data and the maintenance methods and techniques used. In order to know the condition of the bearings and bearings, a vibration analysis is performed, which leads to a predictive maintenance. The maintenance plan was established through the designation of responsibilities and roles of those involved in the implementation of maintenance and thus determine the tasks, activities and frequencies of the maintenance plan.
