Shrnutí:This research had as general objective develop a proposal for the optimization of the process of receiving, sorting and storage of national corn on the Pronaca-Quevedo of good faith canton plant, year 2014. For the beginning of the development of this research is conducted a survey aimed at workers the company Pronaca - Quevedo, which allowed to define that if there are quality controls on the entry of maize and that problems arise in the grain dryer which even makes the same stop to control and to restart the process in this part of the research applied analysis of cause effect that was held with the workers which identified the causes of the drying envelope, this served to set up a table with the frequencies of the causes which served to make the Pareto diagram and determined that you solving the problem of classification of the wet corn before drying is controlled a large part of the remaining problems storage of the product not presents any problem. Defined the maize processing flowchart which describes the sequence of the same income, dried and stored product in the plant and based on this workflow grass was determined it must implement after the pre-flush improvement to be able to classify corn that entrance to the dryer. Analyzing data from the harvest of the year 2014 managed to determine that you sorting corn in close range by 5% and 7% moisture disappears the problem of drying envelope. To conclude the research intends to implement a humidity sensor and an automatic separator corn working porations allowing sorting corn in ranges previously defined and thus eliminate the envelope drying, this is corroborated by the economic comparison of implementation versus the loss by harvest.
