Opis
Sažetak:This investigation was carried out in the “Cuatro Mangas” Precinct, which is located on the Quevedo-Buena fe road, Los Ríos province. The objective of the present study was to determine the productive behavior in free-range broilers fed with banana flour (Musa paradisiaca). For the evaluation of the data, the completely randomized experimental design (DCA) was used with four (4) treatments (0%, 5%, 10% and 15%), five (5) repetitions and six (6) experimental units ( UE) by repetition, giving a total of 120 chickens, the field work lasted 12 weeks, to establish the differences between treatment means, the Tukey test (P≤0.05) was applied and to determine the organoleptic characteristics of the meat the Kruskal Wallis method was used. An economic analysis was carried out for the benefit / cost ratio. During the investigation variables such as: chicken weight (g), weight gain (g), feed consumption (g), feed conversion, carcass weight (lb) were evaluated, these data were taken weekly. No significant difference was obtained in the consumption of experimental diets. In the variables weight gain and feed conversion, the best response in the two variables was presented by the treatment in T1 (control). In the yield to the carcass T1 (0% banana flour), registered the highest values also giving excellent results in the analysis of the organoleptic characteristics. In terms of cost, the combination of T2 and T3 is advantageous, since the benefit / cost ratio shows positive data. The highest economic profitability was presented in the T2 treatment (5% Banana Flour), with 55.97%. Keywords: alternative formulation, weight gain, economic analysis.
