Intervenciones de enfermería en paciente adulto con tuberculosis pulmonar”

Pulmonary tuberculosis, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, is a global challenge despite medical advances. This disease persists and mainly affects people with HIV/AIDS and those who live in unfavorable socioeconomic conditions. The present study was developed with the objective of analyzing the nursing interventions applied in the care of an adult patient with pulmonary tuberculosis, in order to identify effective strategies that contributed to the improvement of the patient's health and the prevention of transmission. of the disease in the hospital and community environment. The methodology applied was the assessment by Marjorie Gordon functional patterns and the nursing care plan using the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomy. The patient was a 21-year-old man, a drug user and diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis; experiencing symptoms such as chronic cough, weight loss, night sweats, fatigue and hemoptoic expectoration. The nursing interventions carried out focused on health education, nutritional therapy, airway management, improving sleep, temperature regulation, reducing anxiety and improving coping with the disease. The results showed a positive response to the treatment, with significant improvements in symptoms, in the quality of sleep and rest, and in the understanding of the disease and its acceptance. It is concluded that effective education about the disease was essential to empower patients in managing their health and in adhering to treatment
