Резюме:Given a high demand for plants due to the remarkable growth of the cocoa surface, the most widely used method of propagation is through lateral barbed grafting, which shows high effectiveness as well as high production cost due to high maintenance costs before, during and after of the grafting due to the long time that the plants remain in the nursery until they are ready to sow, so the need arises to have a propagation or cloning methodology that is faster, cheaper and more efficient for the multiplication of plants. This research was developed based on the use of auxins to favor the formation of roots from selected branches, evaluating the effect of the hormone ANA (naphthalenacetic acid) and AIB (indolbutiric acid) on the vegetative propagation of the cocoa clone CCN-51 (Theobroma cacao L.) in the Experimental Farm "La María", of the Faculty of Sciences Pecuarias (FCP) of the State Technical University of Quevedo (UTEQ), located in the canton Mocache, Province of Los Ríos. A Completely Randomized Design (DCA) was used, evaluating four doses: 0, 3500, 4000 and 4500 ppm of the ANA and AIB hormones together for T0, T1, T2 and T3 respectively. The results achieved showed a sprouting of 61.10% for the T1 treatment; while the mortality reached at 30 and 45 days was 38.19 and 38.20%, being the T0 the one that reached a higher mortality; In addition, the number of outbreaks reached by T2 was higher with 1.89.
