Creación del área de etiqueta y protocolo en la dirección de relaciones públicas de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo, provincia de Los Ríos, año 2011

This research was conducted in the State Technical University Quevedo, Los Rios Province, located at Km ½ ways to Santo Domingo. The main purpose of creating the area of etiquette and protocol within the Directorate of Public Relations is to strengthen the organization, management, execution and control of solemn and ceremonial events that take place in the institution, which serve the same consolidation among inter-institutional academic relationships, applying internal rules established. We proceeded to raise the objectives, assumptions and rationale, the same that will specify aspects involving the proper conduct of university protocol events, just as the main concepts and definitions that involve the subject for proper implementation. All public relations activity has as main purpose the management of corporate image, by performing internal and external communications, therefore we can determine that the material object of study are human acts and its formal object, the protocol determines the rules be followed in an act, so the protocol is a more of those used for projecting the public image of the institutions or organizations, as the company uses to set the temporary space arrangements in a given group of persons or entities, of different or equal rank. Research is the surveys conducted in both the administrative staff of the State Technical University Quevedo and in interviews for the authorities and department heads of which was obtained as follows: Most of those interviewed knew of etiquette and protocol, just as agree that it must create, think that to implement the protocol label area and requires skilled personnel, conditioning of the office, staff training and institutional events that take place more frequently in the University are the Solemn Session of the institution and of the faculties. In the Ecuador universities that have don't exist established a strict protocol for their diverse acts, of that investigated through the internet, so alone the Catholic University of Santiago from Guayaquil has made an analysis of the application of the protocol in the university and by means of its Direction of Communication and Marketing it has elaborated a manual of Protocol and University Ceremonial in which picks up the most outstanding ceremonies that are carried out in its university and that it is supplemented with some norms for organization of events. At the discretion of the interviewees said that the etiquette and protocol is applied to universities in the proper planning of a series of academic procedures aimed at making the solemn and ceremonial events in a professional manner with distinction and order. It is in and of itself that the creation of the area of Label and Protocol will allow to strengthen the academic knots with other universities, the same ones that will be constituted as a constant contribution for the superation of the institution and of the society.
