Estudio de factibilidad para la implementación de una empresa productora de pallets a partir de especies maderables provenientes del Cantón Quevedo.

The purpose of this research is; Identify, analyze and determine the feasibility for the implementation of a company that produces wood pallets from timber species from the “Quevedo” canton, province of “Los Ríos”, knowing various aspects related to the processes of obtaining and producing pallets, with which He managed to identify 8 logging industries, thus proceeding to visit the companies and carry out an interview with owners or personnel in charge of the establishment. Thus achieving information that goes from the origin; obtaining that the majority of the wood is from forest plantations with 41%, the vast majority of Melina (Gmelina arbórea Roxb) with an average value of $ 50.00 - $ 60.00 dollars per cubic meter. The pallet production chain starts from the acquisition of wood from the same canton, which is why the production of the European pallet predominates with 50%, the American pallet with 37%, and 13% produce other types of pallets according to the requirements of the client; with a production unit cost of around $ 7,33 dollars per pallet produced. There is the International Phytosanitary Standard No. 15 (ISPM 15) for the production of wooden pallets, in Ecuador, Agrocalidad (Ecuadorian Agency for Quality Assurance and Agriculture) is the entity in charge of reviewing compliance with regulations, requirements in the traceability of quality processes. With the feasibility study, it was determined that the project can and should be executed, with an initial investment of USD 45,000.00 dollars based on the results obtained in the analysis of the company's installed capacity, which will be capable of produce 1.500 units of pallets per month at a cost of USD 10.00 dollars per pallets sold, reaching the end of the first year with an income of USD 180,000.00 dollars which covers part of the acquired debt that has to be canceled at the CFN and other administrative, operational and logistical expenses of the company. The production process requires the use of adequate machines and equipment, which will guarantee a quality product at moderate prices. In the financial evaluation, an internal rate of return of 299.80% was obtained, which indicates that it is the highest interest that the project can bear, obtaining an attractive benefit / cost ratio; For $ 1.00 dollar invested, it cost 1.38 dollars of utility, obtaining a NPV of USD 392,961.12 dollars, which indicates that the project or investment is viable
