Sumario:The objective was to determine the effects and changes that occur in climatic conditions in the production of transient crops at the level of the southern zone in the Quevedo canton, the response variables ar temperature, precipitation, climate status and land use. with the ArcGis 10.3 software, the tools ArcToolBox, Spatyal Analyst, clip, Kriging, raster to convert, Feature to raster. The analysis of vulnerability, sensitivity and adaptability was based on production, temperature, precipitation and prognosis; until 2050. The results indicate that the variation of temperature and precipitation will have an impact on crop production (corn 29%, rice 27% and soybean 24%) because in the dry season, as rainy, had an average variation of several years. 25.86 ° C and the precipitation in the two periods averaged 2202.83 mm. Therefore, the production of transient crops currently with the climatic variation both in temperature and in precipitation will decrease (5225 kg / ha of corn, 3076.8 kg / ha of rice and 1147 kg / ha of soybean) considering the optimum production of (12700.8 kg / ha). of corn, 8500 kg / ha of rice and 3629 kg / ha of soy). This leads to the development of new resilient measures to cope with the increase in temperature based on the IPCC and NCAR scenarios (1.07 ° C) and the consideration of resilient measures such as water reserves and the reduction of rainfall of -22 mm.
