El desempleo y su incidencia en la sostenibilidad económica de las familias en la provincia de Los Ríos. periodo 2021-2022

Unemployment is a problem that affects the lives of all families both nationally and globally because if a person of working age does not have a job, he or she is not able to cover his or her basic needs and thus have a decent standard of living. This research project is developed in the Quevedo canton, which stands out for its commercial sector. The objective of the research is to evaluate the incidence of unemployment on the economic sustainability of families in the Quevedo canton, with the interest of determining the impact of this socio-economic phenomenon. The problem identified is how unemployment affects the sustainability and income of families, in determining the living conditions of the population in scenarios of economic, social and political crises, driving unemployment, which in turn has caused many people, due to lack of work, have difficulties, affecting their quality of life and therefore reducing the consumption variable; Within the methodology, the type of research is exploratory and relational, the methods are: inductive, deductive, analysis and synthesis. The information collection process is through the survey that was made up of 384 people. The results showed that unemployment affects people's quality of life, making it difficult for many of them to meet their needs. Therefore, the results indicate the need to create job training programs or food assistance or undertake.
