Streszczenie:In the La Italia enclosure of the Valencia canton there are several exploitation difficulties, among which we can mention productive, economic and social factors, which can reduce income or in turn influence the social context of the producers. That is why this research aimed to analyze the production systems of small farms and their contribution to the family economy in the La Italia enclosure of the Valencia canton. The investigation took place in the La Italia enclosure of the canton of Valencia, province of Los Ríos, an area between 0 ° 59'48.3 "South latitude and 79 ° 23'26.8" West longitude. Twenty owners of small farm units were surveyed in the study area. The results indicate that the evaluated production systems evaluated do not have technical assistance, need for irrigation implementation, since they have a diversity of crops that are mostly cocoa (75%), citrus (15%) and banana (10% ), whose yields are 65.83, 58.18 and 48.70%, respectively, with few farms dedicated to the breeding of animals for sale, sourcing supplies in La Esperanza (45%), Valencia (35%) and Quevedo (20 %), considering mostly (50%) as moderate to their prices. The farms of the surveyed people have 70% slight slopes, most of them do not have an irrigation system (65%), and all have a home within the production unit, the same ones that have electricity, garbage collection and some with mobile telephony (18), public lighting (16), cable TV (9), fixed telephony and internet (6). The main problems facing producers are the lack of resources to invest (35%), low prices (30%), low productivity (25%) and high cost of inputs (10%), so 25% of the Families are dissatisfied with the production of the farm. The price that farmers receive for the sale of their production is considered as low (65%), with its production destined for intermediaries (55%) and the general public (45%), with the lack of marketing being the main limitation of commercialization. transport (65%) and quality little recognized by the buyer (35%). The activities of the farms are carried out in 85% by family members, which are made up of between 3 to 4 people (90%), whose total income per month fluctuates between $ 451.00 to $ 600.00 in 65% of cases, having an additional income of $ 351.00 to $ 450.00, while expenses in 60% is less than $ 350.00.
