Descripció
Sumari:G. arborea, T. grandis, and O. pyramidale are forest species used in establishment and management of commercial forest in Ecuador, but it´s production need technological alternatives that helps it´s sustainability. This research aimed to know the effect of the use of two subtracts and the application of allylsufide and diallyl disulfide in the nursery stage of these three species. The substrates were composed of commercial peat, Lambert LM-19 and common substrate compound with 50 % of yellow earth, plus 20 % of burnt rice plus 20 % of processed palm fiber and plus 10% commercial peat. The other hand, the application of sulfur compound consisted in incorporating the substrate 4 ul of allyl sulfide and diallyl disulfide. The treatments evaluated were the forest species combined with two types of substrates and application or no of the sulfur compound. A completely design was employed with factorial arrangements with five repetitions (3 * 2 * 2 + 5). The germinative potential was determined, the vegetative development at 10, 20 and 30 day after sowing (das) and the cost effectiveness of each treatment. The application of sulfides didn´t show a significant differences in any of the variables evaluated. On the other hand the responses of the plants cultivated in the commercial peat was superior to the common substrate. Melina species showed the highest vegetative development at the 30 das with average of AP 10,27 cm; BA 0,19 g; LR 13,86 and BR 0,27 g. The T10 composed of balsa plus peat commercial without application of sulfur compound it got the highest net benefit with $17,35. Keywords: sulforated compounds, commercial peat, net profit.
