| Тойм: | This research was carried out between July and October 2009 in the town of Quevedo, at the Experimental Farm "La María" of Quevedo State Technical University located at km 7 Vía Quevedo-El Empalme whose coordinates GIs are: 79 ° 47 'west longitude and 01 ° 32' south latitude and 120 meters. The local climate is tropical moist forest type, characterized by an average annual temperature of 25.0 º C, annual precipitation from 1500 to 3000 mm, relative humidity 83.5%. And 919 hours of annual average heliophany. The soil is clay loam, irregular topography and drainage and pH of 5.5 to 6.5. Raised the overall objective: To evaluate the agronomic performance of 8 simple experimental hybrids of maize (Zea mays L.) and 2 commercial checks in the area of Quevedo. And the specific objectives: To evaluate the agronomic performance of corn hybrids simple Quevedo Area; Select simple hybrids of greater grain yield potential in the area of Quevedo. Subject to the hypothesis: At least one of the evaluated hybrids showed better agronomic characteristics, grain yield per hectare compared to commercial cultivars. We had a design of a randomized complete block with ten treatments and three. The plot consisted of four rows of 5 m in length with a row spacing of 0.90 m. All variables were subjected to analysis of variance and multiple range test of Tukey to 95% chance to establish the statistical difference between the means of the factors. The variables were: days to flowering, plant height, ear height of insertion, incidence of foliar diseases, uniformity of the ear, ear diameter, number of kernels per ear row, ear weight, cob weight, performance Kilograms per acre, 500-seed weight and seed number per 100 grams. In the days to flowering hybrid SSD SV 35-1 X 08-1 proved to be the later to bloom with an average of 56.0 days. In the hybrid SSD SV 08-1 X 15-1 present a higher level of insertion of ear with 1.25 meters respectively. At the highest plant height was recorded SV hybrid SSD 08-1 X 15-1 was found to have the highest plant height of 2.50 meters respectively. For the variable most ear length attained was that of SV hybrid SSD 35-1 X 08-1 which obtained a higher average ear length of 17.93. The average diameter of the ear was the hybrid SV 08-1 15-1 X SSD with larger diameter 4.94 cm. The weight of Ten ears acquired simple hybrid SSD 08-1 X 15-1 SV had the highest weight of 10 ears with 2.66 kg. The hybrid SSD SV 35-1 X 08-1obtuvó the highest weight of 10 cobs with 377.93 g. The simple hybrid SSD SV 35-1 X 08-1, won the highest weight of 500 seeds with 190.00 grams. In the simple hybrid SSD 08-1 X 15-1 SV reached the highest grain yield 7619.60 kg h-1 |
