Determinación de los costos de producción y rentabilidad del cultivo de balsa (Ochrima Pyramidale) en la parroquia El Vergel del Cantón Valencia.

The investigation work was carried out with the purpose of Determining the Costs of Production and Profitability of the Cultivation of Raft (Ochroma Pyramidale) in the parish The Vergel of the Canton Valencia. The general objective that you outlines was: To determine the profitability of the raft cultivation (Ochroma Pyramidale) in the parish the Vergel of the canton Valencia. Also they thought about three specific objectives which were 1) to Calculate the production costs and revenues of the cultivation of Raft 2) to Define the commercialization channels in the units producers of Raft in the canton Valencia 3) to Calculate the profitability of the cultivation of Raft. The outlined hypothesis was) The production systems and effective commercialization of the raft cultivation, in the plantations constitute a profitable activity in the canton Valencia. For the realization of the investigation of the production costs and profitability of the cultivation of Raft, the descriptive method was used through a questionnaire directed to those producing of Raft, in which was considered like topic with respect to each objective, the questionnaire allowed us to know the reality of those producing of Raft and this way to have an idea of how the production is, as well as which are its commercialization channels and the obtained profitability. The conclusions that were obtained of the study carried out in the parish The Vergel were: 1) of the sowed surface of Raft, 90% corresponds to small producers, while 10 remaining% corresponds to medium producers. 2) you could determine that the wooden production of Raft is affected permanently by the insect Coptoborus sp. 3) the lowest production cost was of the eighth producing with $1713,88 and the highest cost was of the third producing with $2020,83. 4) The existent commercialization channels inside the study area were given in the following way, in a 70% of the producing to the middleman of here to the industry and for I finish the exporter, and in a 30% of the producing to the timber industry and then to the exporter...............................................
