Summary:In the present case study, comprehensive nursing care was analyzed in the elderly infant with a diagnosis of bronchopneumonia, who presented a clinical picture of dry cough, loss of appetite, involuntary movements, fever and drowsiness. Through the meticulous assessment and collection of patient data, the main diagnoses were confirmed and nursing interventions were implemented such as monitoring the frequency, rhythm, depth and effort of respirations, in addition to maintaining a patent airway, continuous monitoring of Vital signs. temperature and long-term monitoring of the infant, therefore helping in the corresponding management of feeding, finally with nebulization’s to help with the respiratory tract, since this has been a constant process adapted to the health condition of the infant. patient, all of this was carried out in a disciplinary manner and clearly with interventions developed with each and every one of the corresponding protocols that were of utmost importance for the improvement and well-being of the patient's health. The results obtained during this analysis reflect a clearly positive impact, highlighting not only the relevance of the nursing care process but also evidencing the capacity for personalization and adaptation of care, through the application of the design of the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomy, in a timely and immediate manner. Finally, the fundamental role of nursing professionals in the care and education of parents was highlighted, demonstrating the effectiveness in the comprehensive management of bronchopneumonia and the well- being of the patient.
