الملخص:Passion fruit cultivation has become a profitable production alternative for producers in the Ecuadorian coastal zone, which is why the production of highly productive plants that allow high yields per unit area has become a priority. This reason led to the investigation of the use of rooting hormones naftalenacetic acid (ANA) and indolebutyric acid (AIB) in different doses (0, 1250, 1500, 1750 and 2000 ppm) for the rooting of passion fruit By means of aerial steps in an agricultural farm producing passion fruit located in the Chipe area, belonging to the Quinsaloma canton, Province of the Rivers. The variables to be evaluated in the present research were: rooting percentage (ENR), mortality rate (MOR), longest root length (LR) and number of roots (NR); For which a randomized complete experimental design with five treatments was established. The results established that for ENR the T4 treatment (2000 ppm) reached the highest percentage of rooted layers with 90%, whereas for MOR the T0 treatment (control) recorded 70% of the treatments. The variables that measured the root characteristics showed that the T4 treatment reached the highest number of roots produced with 22.75, while the highest length was reached with the treatment T3 (1750 ppm) with 12.7 cm respectively.
