The historic center of the city of Cuenca comprises several arteries, including one of they are located on Vega Muñoz Street, where the points and vehicle sampling schedules and noise levels emitted by these. It is important to mention that the city of Cuenca has an ordinance on noise control, but unfortunately the institutions in charge of enforce they do not do it, in addition there is a Vehicle Technical Review that in one way or another require that both private and public vehicles meet various environmental parameters. The purpose of this research is to guide the effective and integrated application of laws, principles, strategies, actions and commitments agreed by the Municipality of Cuenca and the population, to prevent and control pollution acoustics, protect health and contribute to the well-being of the population living together to these arteries Among the most important strategies for getting research to comply is to inform the population that lives in the historic center of the city of Basin on the degree of noise pollution to which they are subjected, the actions carried out by the competent institutions for its control and the results obtained.
