| Riassunto: | Bronchopneumonia is an acute respiratory infection that affects the bronchioles and alveoli of the lungs, and is one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality in the pediatric population, especially in patients with underlying conditions such as infantile cerebral palsy (ICP). This case study focused on analyzing the comprehensive management of bronchopneumonia in a pediatric patient, identifying clinical manifestations, developing a personalized care plan based on the NANDA, NOC, and NIC taxonomies, and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions. To this end, diagnostic assessment tools were used to identify key symptoms such as high fever, productive cough, tachypnea, and an initial oxygen saturation of 94%. Through the application of nursing taxonomies, interventions were designed to control fever, improve oxygenation, prevent respiratory complications, and ensure adequate nutritional status. The results showed a significant improvement in oxygen saturation (from 94% to 98%), normalization of body temperature, and prevention of pressure ulcers and contractures by passive mobilization. In conclusion, this case highlights the importance of a multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach to the management of bronchopneumonia in pediatric patients, underlining the crucial role of nursing interventions in optimizing quality of life and clinical recovery. |
