Opis
Sažetak:This research was performed to standardize the methodology to conduct the pH test of the exudate, it was executed this research, in order to evaluate the efficiency of testing the pH of the exudate to rapidly estimate the physiological seed quality soy. The trial was conducted in the core laboratory of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the State Technical University of Quevedo, using completely randomized design with 4 repetitions, and Duncan test 95% chance to compare means. Soybean seeds were submitted to different concentration imbibition and sodium carbonate (Na2CO3). For imbibition, soybeans were placed in plastic trays whole with individual cells each containing at about 2.5 milliliters of distilled water and boiled for 30 to 45 minutes at room temperature. After soaking the seeds, a drop of phenolphthalein solution Na2CO3 0.5% was applied. To correlate the exudate pH test, standard germination test, cold test and field emergency they were used. Based on the results it is concluded that: a) The physiological quality of soybean can be estimated by pH test individually exudate. b) The pH of individual seeds embedded exudate for 30 minutes overestimate the percentage value when compared with the standard germination test. The force of the soybean can be estimated when the seeds are soaked in distilled water for 45 minutes, with the concentration of 2.8g of sodium carbonate, which showed high correlation with field emergency test and cold. d) The pH test exudate imbibition time dependent and the concentration of the solution.
