Factores asociados a la tuberculosis Pulmonar en adultos, Quevedo 2023

Tuberculosis is a serious disease that mainly affects the lungs caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and is transmitted from person to person through the air. In the present research project, the topic of pulmonary tuberculosis in adults in Quevedo, Ecuador, was addressed with the objective of identifying the factors associated with this disease. The methodology used is quantitative research, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design, and as instruments we use surveys and documentary analysis. The results obtained from our research showed that 36% have socioeconomic problems. 18% have knowledge about their disease, 21% consume tobacco and 26% consume alcohol. These results allowed us to identify priority areas of intervention, highlighting the importance of inclusive and accessible education about tuberculosis, as well as collaboration. between local authorities and health organizations to improve access to information and reduce the incidence of the disease by providing relevant information for the prevention and control of pulmonary tuberculosis in adults in Quevedo, with clear recommendations to improve the health of the community.
