Nursing care has been fundamental in the treatment and follow-up of this injury, since it contributes to prevent complications, promote wound healing and provide pain relief necessary for prompt rehabilitation. This research focuses on analyzing and describing in detail the nursing care required to treat patients with exposed tibia fractures, from the initial assessment to wound management and emotional support of the patient. A review of various scientific sources is performed, and evidence-based recommendations will be presented to improve the quality of care provided to these patients. Knowledge about nursing care in patients with exposed tibia fractures is essential to ensure adequate and timely intervention, as well as to prevent complications that may jeopardize the patient's health and well-being. The implementation of asepsis and antisepsis measures, adequate administration of antibiotics, pain management, and patient and family education are key aspects of this care. However, despite the care and treatment carried out, the patient may present complications, so constant vigilance and adequate follow-up must be continued. |
