Descripció
Sumari:The raft is a tree species that grows in the subtropical area of Ecuador, as well as in Central America and some South American countries. Even in this way, geographical and climatic conditions lend themselves to make Ecuador's raft wood tree pre-eminent in terms of development and quality than in the rest of the world. For its development, it requires a warm and humid climate and a nutrient-rich and well-drained soil. This research carried out the taking of variables such as DAP (chest height diameter), total height and commercial volume, in an area of 10 hectares. After planning the commercial raleo on the 3-year plantation, 10 circular plots of 500 m2 were established at random, with an average of 460 arb./ha, the 25% raleo was applied where 115 arb./ha were extracted, not all the trees attached, were considered for use in the river, only the trees of 20 cm of DAP onwards were used to make slats, because of their diameter they were categorized into two diametric classes, with a range of 10 cm in the DAP, obtaining an average of 57 arb/ha. of the trees usable from the raleo you get 316 m3 of rolled wood throughout the plantation, the same as when transformed into slats loses approximately 50% , resulting in 157 m3 of semi-finished wood, this semi-finished volume corresponds to 4,553 Bft of grated on the 10 hectares, with a commercial value of $64,605 (sixty-four thousand six hundred and five US dollars). It should be noted that when the raleo was taking place, the logger decided to buy the entire plantation from the owner for full use and is also considered the economic analysis of the plantation with a value of $178,337 (one hundred and seventy-eight thousand hundred thirty-seven US dollars).
